In 1985, the International Office of Cocoa, Chocolate and Sugar Confectionery (IOCCC) was set up as a result of an alliance between the International Sugar Confectionery Manufacturers Association, founded in Paris in 1953, and of the International Office of Cocoa and Chocolate, established in Antwerp in 1930.
In 2022, the combined organization was renamed to become the International Confectionery Association.
Who we are
The International Confectionery Association (ICA) brings together the major confectionery industry associations around the world to work collaboratively on issues affecting the sector. Its members represent companies across all sectors of the Confectionery Industry, from Sugar Confectionery to Chocolate Manufacturing, and from Gum to Fine Bakery Products.
We are six member associations representing the industry in the major confectionery producing and consuming countries or regions.
Together we strive to have a Confectionery Industry respected by stakeholders with products enjoyed by consumers as part of a balanced diet.
